CWD is a deer and elk disease that is sweeping across the country. To simplify CWD, it is mad cow disease for deer. There is no known cure, and it is fatal to our deer population.
A Wisconson state senate bill has gone through public hearings, and it will come to a vote soon. Senate Bill 325 is attempting to slow the spread of CWD. Since CWD is spread from deer saliva along with deer carcasses, this bill grants money for disposal bins for deer carcasses.
This bill will not cure or stop the spread of CWD, but it will slow the spread of the disease down. Many states have already passed laws that prevent the transport of deer carcasses into their state.
