Google recently rejected a hunting advertisement from the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. Sen Steve Daines and Rep. Greg Gianforte have reached out to find out why. The ad that was censored was of a father-daughter elk hunt.
Sen. Steve Daines tweeted at google with a simple question. Hey @google you censored an @RMEF video of a father daughter elk hunt
a Google spokesman told the senator that the video was “animal cruelty and deemed inappropriate to be shown on our network.”
Below is a letter from the senator and congressmen to Google, and the response from google. You will clearly see Google understands this is an ad that shows the positive impacts of hunting, but still will not show the ad.
